Chapter 7: The giant troll.

Who ever had given the Giant Trolls their names was absolutely right. They WHERE gigantic. Or maybe it was just the fact that the Dwarves where so small compared with the Troll.
Ten dwarves stormed the Troll simultaneously and where simultaneously thrown back. Another group attacked, now it where twelve of them, but once again they didn’t stand a chance.
He and Sir Robin where just standing by helpless, they still didn’t have their weapons back. Taranat tried casting a spell but it didn’t have any effect since he had no staff to concentrate the magic.
All of a sudden Qwaraly came running to the scene, chased by two very angry Dwarves. He tossed Sam and Sir Robin their swords, they catched it nicely. Taranat had some trouble catching his staff, but once he got it back he seemed to gain an immense amount of power.
“AROEW AM!” he yelled holding the staff up high. An invisible force field knocked every one of their feet. The spell did what an endless series of Dwarf group attacks couldn’t, it knocked the Troll down. He tried to get back up his feet, but before he could do that Sam and Sir Robin stormed him and kept hitting, slicing, cutting and stabbing him. It didn’t seem to help at all, his skin seamed as if it was made out of stone, nothing could pierce it. He waved his right arm at them and tossed them away.
Sam knocked his head to a wall and it started to bleed, everything became blurry and he could hardly see what was happening.
The Dwarves tried attacking him again but where all tossed back just as Sam and Sir Robin. Over and over again they tried it but nothing made any difference. Taranat yelled: “CARU GAM!” a small flaming red ball flied through the air with an amazing speed and hit him where Sam assumed his hart would be.
If he had any.
The spell caused severe damage to the Troll. The Dwarves used this opportunity to start an other attack. The attack didn’t affect him but you could see he was weakening down. Taranat yelled: “CARU TSJAR!” and this time a green ball of fire hit him in the chest.
The Troll yelled angry. He was waving his arms around like a madman, but hardly anyone was knocked over anymore.
Qwaraly was shooting arrows at him all that time but they just bounced of. Suddenly Qwaraly got a great idea. He aimed his bow at the eyes of the Troll, which was very hard since he was constantly moving, and shot. It hit him right in the eye. He yelled harder then before and put his hand over the eye, what only resolved in the arrow being pushed in even deeper. Qwaraly shot an other arrow at the Troll and hit him right in the other eye. The Troll yelled once again and walked blinded into the mine wall.
He fell down and as he tried to get up Sam stood up himself too. He saw the place where Taranat had fired the fireballs. Taranat just fired another one -this time it was yellow- and the spot on his chest had turned all read and weak. Sam threw his sword at the place and it landed right in the middle of the chest, on the spot.
The Troll yelled one last more time and blood started flooding from the middle of his chest. It had worked they had accomplished it.
The Troll lied there peacefully, soaked in blood and rest returned among the panicking Dwarves.

Later that day, when everybody cleaned himself up from Troll blood, they went to see Gisim. He had been there when they fought the Troll. He had been one of the warriors who were knocked down by the Troll.
“Greetings.” He said. “Thanks for the help.”
“Yeah, you’re welcome. Why did the Troll attack you?” Sit Robin replied.
“Ooh, it happens every once in a while. The Giant Trolls have been living underground shortly after the Dwarves build this mine. Now that we live here permanently they feel we invaded ‘their’ territory. While it where us, the Dwarves, who build this land with our bare hands.”
“Well the reason we came here was because …” Sir Robin started, but he was cut of by the loud noise of celebration coming from outside.
“I’m sorry but I believe my people like to celebrate our victories, we shall continue this conversation later, I have a party to attend, care to join me?” Gisim asked.
“All of us? Even the Elf?” Sir Robin asked superstitious.
“Why yes, I believe defeating an enemy of us and probably save some of our people by doing this will make them forget history and allow them in our middles.” The Dwarf king replied smiling.
“So all we need is al Elves to save the life of at least one Dwarf and this age old war will finally come to an end.” Taranat said sarcastic.
